Quicksand

Quicksand unfolds after an incident at an airport between a man and a woman. Until this moment, they are strangers to each other and anonymous to the world at large. What follows is a trial by social media and the steady, irreversible unraveling of two private lives in the public eye.

Bios

Kriti Pant is an actor, trainer and voice over artist based in New Delhi, India. She has performed nationally and internationally, working across different styles, media and communities. She is also a founding member of The Tadpole Repertory, one of Delhi's most prominent theatre groups. She helps run the company's Looking Glass Project, a workshopping program which encourages people across all ages to actively engage with and invest in the Arts. She has a particular interest in working with young people and is currently devising a new performance for young audiences.

Pranjal Vaid has been doing theatre for almost six years now, been involved in productions with theatre groups such as The Tadpole Repertory, Crow, Third Space Collective, The Play Factory and Kaivalya Plays. He completed Summer Workshop and Sunday Club (Theatre in Education) at The National School of Drama, New Delhi in the year 2007. Having a keen interest in filmmaking, he worked as a second assistant director on an international co-production feature project directed by national award-winning filmmaker Aditya Vikram Sengupta. Currently, he's working in a commissioned web series project in North West Bengal as one of the three protagonists.

Devika Rajpal is an actor and dancer based in Delhi. Her training is in Contemporary Dance and Gymnastics. She has performed with various companies including the Tadpole Repertory, Crow, and Barefoot, in productions such as A Brief History of Pantomimes, Tees and Snakes. A graduate in Commerce, she plans to study Entrepreneurship in the coming years. She likes to party every Saturday.

Neel Chaudhuri is an award-winning Playwright and the Artistic Director of the Tadpole Repertory. Neel's previous plays as Writer-director include the award-winning productions Taramandal and Still and Still Moving, and more recently, This Will Only Take Several Minutes, a co-production with the Japanese theatre group HANCHUYUEI.

Bharavi is a freelance Technical Designer, Production and Arts Manager with particular focus on collaborative and exploratory work. He has been the Stage and Production Manager and Technical Director at Indian Ensemble, Bangalore, and currently works in a similar capacity with the Tadpole Repertory, New Delhi. For Cinematograph, Mumbai, he has been a touring Light Designer and Technical Coordinator on plays like Hamlet – The Clown Prince, Nothing Like Lear and Macbeth – What is Done is Done. He has worked with Astad Deboo, as the Lighting Designer for Rhythm 

Divine – The River Runs Deep, as well as Eternal Embrace, a piece in collaboration with composer Yukio Tsuji. Since 2013, he has worked with Jyoti Dogra on production and logistics for her plays The Doorway and Notes on Chai, also collaborating on lighting design for the latter.
